One More Time

One More Time coverONE MORE TIME is out under Kensington’s Aphrodisia line. I was so thrilled when I got the word that I made RT’s Top Pick list! (Romantic Times Bookclub Magazine). Here’s part of the review:

“This scorching roller-coaster of a read is an erotic page-turner. It has romance, intrigue, licentious nobility, a Greek god come to life and an unexpected ending. Feisty Abby and sensual Myles are the perfect couple to surmount the obstacles in their way. This may have been the first book I’ve read by Hart, but it certainly won’t be the last!”
4.5 stars, Bella March, Romantic Times Bookclub Magazine

Yup, a Greek god come to life. It’s quite possibly no secret that I fell for the Greek god, even if he isn’t exactly the good guy. But well, he has his reasons.

What might be a secret is that there’s more paranormal to this book than the heroine’s trip back in time. For some reason, I didn’t want to “spoil” the Greek god’s appearance, but hey, I’m pretty sure that’s him on the cover. (Hard to tell, I don’t think either the hero or the Greek god would bother with a towel.)

Here’s what the back cover blurb says:

“Travel back to a world where lords and ladies ruled the ton by day and wild, wanton abandon ruled them at night…

Abby Deane has no problems piloting a small plane to her new job — until she lands and realizes she has traveled back in time to Regency England. She’s fascinated by everything around her, especially the seductive Myles Hardy. If she can’t get back to her own time, she might as well enjoy the potent sensuality simmering beneath that rock hard body…

Myles Hardy can’t take his eyes off the mysterious and alluring woman who’s suddenly appeared in front of him. Miss Abby Deane talks of the future, but it is pleasuring her here and now that most intrigues him. And her bag of sensual delights holds the key to revealing her most secret desires and forbidden fantasies…”

…tremendous read…

Pleasant doesn’t even begin to describe the utter amazement I experienced at the hands of author Lori Devoti! Unbound knocked my socks off with its complete and unrelenting plot.
Lori Devoti has a new fan! Unbound is now happily filed on my keeper shelf under “O” for outstandingly wonderful!” -Joyfully Reviewed, Talia Ricci

5 Stars…an enthralling and totally satisfying read..
“With her first Silhouette Nocturne release after her delightful contemporaries, Lori Devoti proves she is an outstanding writer of multiple genres. Taking a Norse myth about hellhounds and adding her own twists to the legend, Ms. Devoti developed a modern day variation that results in a riveting romantic adventure. The plot is a masterful combination of action, danger and intense emotions, where the lives of the featured characters are vividly depicted. … UNBOUND is compellingly intriguing from the first word, where the reader is transported into an imaginative realm and never wants to leave.” -Amelia Richard, Singletitles.com

Janette Kenny
Zebra Books March 06, ‘07
ISBN: 0-8217-8146-4

Straight From The Heart

Cord Tanner has a very simple plan: get paid to be Beatrix Northroupe’s husband for a month so the prim, but sexy, Englishwoman can gain rightful ownership of her family’s stud farm. Money in hand, he’s going to get as far away from Revolt, Kansas, as a fast horse can take him.

But Cord soon finds that he admires his Trixie’s reckless courage–not to mention she’s one great kisser. Maybe he’s crazy to hope for a real future with her instead of heading for the hills, but now that someone’s staking a dangerous claim to her farm, Cord’s decided to stick around as long as the lady needs protecting. That wedding ring he put on her finger means her reputation is safe–and he’s determined to win her heart. Cord Tanner may not be the most refined man on the frontier, but he sure is the lovingest…

4 star review from Romantic Times!

“Fans of western romance will welcome a new voice. Kenny’s powerful debut–with its seductive marriage-of-convenience plot — has snappy dialogue, appealing characters, a passionate romance and a few too-close-for-comfort accidents that will keep readers on the edge of their seats as they turn the pages.”

MADE FOR SIN

Made For Sin coverFebruary sees the release of MADE FOR SIN, Celia May Hart’s latest novel for the Kensington Aphrodisia line.

Two very different sisters with one thing in common — the good fortune to find men who’ll show them how heavenly sin can be…

MADE FOR SIN

Kensington Aphrodisia
February 2007
ISBN: 0-7582-1465-0

Lucy Waverton’s wild escapades are the talk of the ton. Fleeing the notorious Earl of Radbourne’s carriage after a delicious seduction, she meets a soldier whose hard body and rebellious streak stir her newly awakened desires. Sergeant Michael Hall may be lowborn, but his every caress takes Lucy higher and higher, into a realm of pure carnal ecstasy…

Searching the country for her reckless younger sister, Caroline Waverton instead fiinds herself in the company of the rogue who reputedly ruined Lucy. Alex Radbourne is decadent, depraved, and devilishly skilled at uncovering Caroline’s secret, forbidden desires. The refined Miss Caroline has a thoroughly wanton side, and though each knows the affair is wrong, nothing could feel more right than surrendering to sinfully erotic abandon…

What the Reviewers are Saying
“This is a terrific Regency romance that effortlessly merges erotica into its two subplots; starring a sister in each with the hunk they love. The siblings and their men are fully developed while the support cast, mostly two spouses of soldiers, enhances the tale by better understanding the life of a fighting man.” — Harriet Klausner

“Hart delivers two very steamy relationships in this fine historical romance. Lucy and her soldier and Caroline and her earl are well-developed characters, and there’s plenty of heat to hold the winter chill at bay.” — Kristi Ahlers, Romantic Times Bookclub Magazine.

Charming Jo

CharmingJo

Charming Jo
Author: Laura Drewry
ISBN: 0-8217-7859-5
Zebra Historical Romances
www.lauradrewry.com

No self-respecting cowboy would let himself be bossed around by a woman. But Levi Travers never claimed to be respectable. . .

With a ranch to run, a sister to watch over, and a fence that needs building before roundup, Joanna McCaine hasn’t time for anything but work. And the only interest she has in men at the moment is finding one desperate enough to swallow his pride and come work for her.

Travers has a way with women; a “way” that usually involves charming them out of their corsets. But his new lady-boss doesn’t even wear a corset. She’s heard the stories about him and has made it perfectly clear that she can’t be charmed.

Of course, that was before he defended her honor, before he saved her from a mad bull, and long before he ever kissed her. Or she kissed him.

The reviews are in for Charming Jo:

“. . .a “charming” story. . .Jo is a terrific, strong heroine. . .” — Jill Brager, RomanticTimes (www.romantictimes.com)

“I liked the story, it made me smile. This is always something I look for in a book. I found this book to be excellent light reading, holding my attention and easy to read. Keep up the good work. I gave your book an excellent review at our last meeting.” — Lynda, reader in California

“Jo is an absolutely fantastic heroine. . .A redeemable bad boy, Levi is perfect. . .Combining humor and passion with a moving plot, Charming Jo will not only grab your interest but charm you as well right out of a good night’s sleep. Laura Drewry has as a winner with Charming Jo. ” — Debby Guyette, www.singletitles.com

“Charming Jo is a fun historical romance, set in the old west, that will enchant readers with a simple story and great characters. Drewry gives readers a wide range of characters from the sweet damsel to the saloon owner with the dance hall girl with the heart of gold. Her attention to these details gives the story a rich life that readers will enjoy. Drewry has also given readers a fiery conflict between Jo and Levi that adds to the romantic tension and makes the story all the sweeter” — Tracy Zappala, historicalromancereaders.com & Romance Designs,

“Charming Jo definitely charmed this reader. . .There’s something about how Ms. Drewry creates, how she writes that captivates the reader. Maybe it’s the sense of kindness and compassion underneath the outer formidable layer she gives her heroine. Maybe it’s how she ingrains in the hero the need and desire to respect the heroine. Maybe all that and more. I don’t know. I only hope she doesn’t try to change the recipe. Her style and vision are simply charming.” — Connie, Once Upon A Romance

“Drewry makes CHARMING JO stand out from the pack with her quick humor. Neither the characters, nor Drewry takes anything too seriously, providing the reader with plenty of smiles–and giving us the strong sense that although Levi and Jo may be ugly ducklings to the rest of the world, for each other, they are the perfect swan. If you’re looking for an enjoyable read and more than a few grins, CHARMING JO is a great choice.” 4 Stars - Rob Preece, BooksForABuck
